THE CRITICISM
ReplyDeleteThat is a story about a little girl. She was short and thin, and everyone scoffed of her because they thought that she was not pretty enough; her classmates or ‘friends’ put her nicknames such as ‘stick’, ‘spaghetti’ or ‘minion’. That girl grew up with low self-esteem.
Every time she looked in the mirror, she thought: “Actually, I’m so ugly; look at me so small! Look at me so skinny! ”. While she was dreaming, she decided to change her thinking, and the next morning she put on makeup, she brushed her hair, and she put on her best clothes; she looked so pretty but, when she arrived at high school everyone mocked her and they said: ‘Look at guys, she thinks if she puts on a lot of things, she’ll look pretty but, she always will be ugly; (laugh) Look at guys, she doesn’t even have a full body!’. In that moment, she knew that her problem was her body, and then, she spoke with her mother and said her: ‘Please, mom gives me money to surgery’ and she gave money to the surgery and the little girl was happy. After the surgery, she thought: ‘Now, I am going to have a best life, now, I have a full body’.
The next day, when she arrived at the high school everyone saw her; suddenly, everything was silence and the whispers began to sound: ‘Look at guys, she is a plastic girl’. ‘Oh, it is horrible! Does she not know that the best beauty is natural beauty?’ When she heard that, she thought: ‘I had changed everything in me for pleasing the society, but the society always judges me’ and she began to publish this phrase: ‘Do not try to pleasing to the others because they can change you, but always they judge you’.

ReplyDeleteTHE NOBLE TREE AND THE UNGRATEFUL BOY
ReplyDeleteThis is a short history that you can find on YouTube. This tells the story of a tree and a little boy, the tree loved him. This is not only a sad and tender story also, it is a life lesson besides, makes us reflect on the gratitude, humility and love unconditional.
The little boy went every day to visit the tree, and there stayed a long time with her also, climbed by her trunk, swum between her branches, played with many leaves and ate the red and delicious apples that produced the noble tree for this reason, the tree was very happy. Years later the boy grew and he became an ambitious and interested person . However the tree gave her apples, leaves, branches and the trunk so the child could buy many material things that he supposedly needed. Then, the boy could get money to buy food, and built a House for him and his maternal family and all were happy less the poor tree that was completely bare and alone.
Many years later, the boy was not a little child was an old alone, sad and unhappy because he had much money with the things of the good tree but, he lost a great treasure, the tree was not only a plant it was his most faithful partner, he lost his heart and his essence the happiness that before he had.

ReplyDeleteTO REACH A DREAM WITHOUT EFFORT
ReplyDeleteBy Yina Elizabeth Avila Rivera
This story is about the importance of personal advancement of each individual to cope alone.
The human being must acquire certain habits to fight for what you dream to be achieved. Everything changes if we get anything but the sweat of his brow.
The human being always looks as benefit without making any effort. In short, human beings need to become aware of seeking their welfare alone but with the feature to fend for themselves.
By choice must fend for itself. Without having to resort to other means. In addition, another feature which enriches their autonomy is to get everything through efforts. Everything in life is focused on being able to get aspirations and goals to accomplish. The human being must be aware of what is necessary to achieve no more ambition. When he decided to give all the child tree, this attitude was a work of humility and simplicity, but then the child when asking the tree more continuous.
That although all want to get much better fight and we deserve what is given, likewise, when a human being is happy to support a good cause is also allowing the human being does not develop by itself.
Nature is a natural resource and the man ends a few times a finish without observing the damage they cause.
"But remember no one is perfect and you'll see, maybe you'll have a thousand things better, but never a sincere affection."
"Ambition is the last refuge of failure." Oscar Wilde
The art of giving by Jairo A. Ruiz
ReplyDeleteEvery day many people complain about the their poor results in any exchange that they are participants, for they usually think that they deserve more because of they give a lot of to the other people and with this fit they expect to be prized.
In this writing I pretend to give readers a new vision of the world about the giving and the delivering, and maybe an answer who guides them the happiness or at least they believe is possible to achieve it.
All the time we live making exchanges because we are part of the society or social group and this makes us to relate to the other people in different ways like: love, friendship, family, hate, pity, marriage, etc. All these relations have a contract, which could be invisible or visible, although in the both cases is tacit.
We give and so we hope to receive, this the great problem, our intentions are always full of a intention’s chain behind them; I mean our intentions are never good because we desire deeply to benefit with any movement that we do in any direction and receiving of this direction a movement as well as we do and, we get it. But is never so good like we think, this is, because our intention are never so good. Our intentions have a lot of faces and the good has only one. So we are always perverse(we know) and we deserve the bad that we put behind our intentions.
All the things in the world have a value and it is arbitrary. We are in the world and, we possess emotions, feelings, desires( abstract things) and to these things we give a value. Then inside the values things market our values things have always the highest value among the values things. And this thought I have already said is a construction from a plan arbitrary-subjective.
In my opinion the only way that we have to get all the things that we want ,it is to give all we want to give without expecting anything in exchange for this, “giving the all for nothing” ,although the results usually not do satisfy.
We must have the capacity of giving or losing all and can continue. If something does not grow up, the world is not the bad, the answer is us and, we must change the expectations we must be realists.
We must be as the phoenix, to be born, to burn and die for getting up our ashes to repeat the cycle once and another one in searching for the happiness.
Hey everyone!
ReplyDeleteAm I happy with I have? By Yaira Urrego
We live in a world, when the injustice and especially the corruption govern. A world when the children are victim cause of government’s corruption. It entails to children to be in an absolute poverty, illness, malnutrition and literacy. As Omandi, a living example of poverty that we have been living nowadays.
Omandi is from Kiberia, it is located in Africa, and He is twelve years old. He expresses sadness in his eyes and gaze. He only likes to be a pilot. Besides, he only likes to fly high, where he can go to the class for learning. Also, where he can eat happily. Where he does not have fear. Where the light lights up to him and he can walk into the green yard and not over the garbage. On the other hand, he likes to live with other children, to play and to laugh with them without illness as VIH, without sadness and hard feelings. Furthermore, he likes to hug and to kiss to their parents. On other words, he likes to be a pilot because he likes to feel free, for him enduring the poverty that he never demanded.
Nowadays, there are many children as Omandi, they only like to be pilots, because they do not like see the world where they live. But we can change it. As said Nelson Mandela, “Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity; it is an act of justice. Like Slavery and Apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. YOU can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.” We can to improve it. Also, we should to be grateful with we have.
PURPLE TEAR
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time a dismal night when I was born,
The foggy moment which I opened my eyes to this life,
I opened them so much that never more I could close them,
I woke up and never more I had a calm dream,
Someone had inherited to me the biggest pain,
Called life
Because this life hurts… so much.
The days are passed,
Passed the nights, too
Passed my childhood.
And I had an absent mother
An utopian father,
And a house in any place.
The arid lands around to me,
My hungry face was reflected into the other children´s faces,
And I saw babblings lacking love,
And I saw borning children without a prepared cradle,
And their pain hurted me,
And their sadness saddened me,
Because when you have hurts foot,
you to notice in the cripples more.
And the sadness covered my dresses in black,
The black earth in my cheeks,
Desolates Nights,
Which I saw the mothers working for their children´s bread,
Eternal dawns when the child died without the bread.
… and without the mother.
My black eyes that coin black tears,
My black eyes that observe this fallow field,
Concentration of desperations,
Black are my clothes because the death constantly dance,
My Black clothes for the animal brother's death in the dirty street,
My black clothes for the brother's tree death that has became banquet´s table,
My black veil in honor whose in this second wrongly dies
Under dismal ignorant eyes,
For the hunger in the innocent baby,
For the death in the newly born child.
Desperate tears goes to me,
"But, what´s the tear´s reason ?, if this great valley already this so flooded.
And, Why my happiness?
If before my eyes the children die.
And, why the gold and the silver?
If with that, I cannot dry the bitter purple tear of the children´s eyes.
Why my life? If I cannot stop the miserable other´s death,
Why my laughter?, if with that, I will never be handkerchief of innocent hardships!
Why my scandalous victories?
If them must wake up the solemn unconcence
Of who to try to escape from this hell called life,
Why? what reason? what?
Completely inconceivable the inhuman absurdity of this bad called human world!
Don’t have to complain!
ReplyDeleteAccording to the video “I want to be a pilot”. I want to express my point of view about the living conditions so inhuman that some children live around the world. Frequently, I see many children who must face up to their sad realities daily. Many of them have to face the life without their parents, others must learn to live with terminal illnesses and others have to live in poverty and social inequality, but all of them have something in common. They only want to leave that hell in order to go to a place where they can be happy and their dreams come true.
Besides, I think the video “I want to be a pilot” was very moving because it showed me the reality that many children like Omandi live in different parts of the world. Also, I realized that my life is perfect compared to the rest of people that lived there. Likewise, this video taught me that God and the life have given to me many things and I haven’t known how to appreciate them like one family and many opportunities. When there are many people who would give any thing in order to have what I have despised.
Also, I complain about everything sometimes but Omandi gave me a big lesson. Despite his situation and his illness, he had dreams and goals. He only wanted to fly far away where God loved him. Then, I think that it is time to start to appreciate every moment of my life because I really have everything I need in order to be happy… I must learn to be grateful with God and the life.
Give thanks for life (by Sergio Fonseca)
ReplyDeleteI am going to write about some ideas that I got from the video called “I want to be a pilot”. It shows a hard situation that some people in Africa have to face. This problem is very common among these communities. It is very serious as each person has the right to have a good quality of life.
Poverty, lack of education and corruption are the kinds of problems that the African people have to face every day. These problems are able to limit the opportunities of people in these places. People have to resign to survive in a hell where there is not food, illnesses are always present, and where the wishes of life become a hard nightmare that, apparently, has not an answer.
The life of anyone in the ghetto becomes a plan of escape from suffering, but the conditions of life there, simply drag people towards a life without life. Now, the only consolation of people is to want to see their families once more, but this seems more impossible than wake up from the terrible nightmare.
Dreams crumble and hunger takes control over their thoughts. The only hope is to survive the next day when nothing will improve.
This makes us think about the value of life. We must learn to appreciate the things we have. Living every day in the best way. Taking advantage of the opportunities. Spending time with our families. Giving thanks for life.
We have everything but we do not realize.
REFLECTIVE WRITING
DeleteLife give you some opportunities, but sometimes you let that it to pass, because you feel afraid or you are so responsible , fear when you don’t take a risk because you feel that you maybe lost, and responsible when you are making things that you must do like your work, the school or the university et. You take careless with your family, your friends, also your life, when you focus in something and forget the most important thing, yourself life, I suppose an example: Juan had working in his school project for the next day, but when he was working in it ,the telephone rang, was his brother, he said that his mother was so sick, but in this time he just focus in his project, then he thought , well I am going to call tomorrow, but in the morning the telephone rang again, it was his brother, he said that his mother died and the last thing that she wanted was looking his for last time.
Life is just one, and I think that we have to risk and try to do more things, if you don’t want make something, don’t do it, but if you want to do something and you feel afraid is better that you risk , because you don’t know if you won or lost, you have to do the things for knowing.
Don’t let that your occupation complete your life, the most important of your life is be free and be happy, for that reason you have to overcome all your walls and try to see the best things from your life.
A DREAM THAT CAN NOT FORGET
ReplyDeleteIm going to write about the bad situation in Kibera, one thing you can see there is misery and poor children. It is the result of a corrupt administration for many consecutive governments in this country.
The position of a dream for a child who has AIDS is very difficult, because people know that this is an almost impossible to carry life, interpretation of life in many cases might be a bit poetic, for the fragility that life has is beautiful. hope to live another reality broke the hearts of a society that seeks to help. but actually can not. money to support this cause, disappears on the road, however the type of aid received by them is just experimentation on children of Kibera.
Africa is ranked in the world within continents with more mineral resources, but unfortunately it is also called no man’s land. because the control exercised in this area comes from the military. and people have no identity. that is the reason that people have been exploited for so long. I think the solution is not to run away from problems. I think the biggest problem is forgetting culture. losing that identity, used to being in that gap and live only for themselves and not think about the children who are the future.
And if people want to change this. they themselves have to start thinking as a group to unite and defeat the corrupt government and ultimately improve their quality of life in many aspects: education, health, housing and things that let you realize the dream of Omondi. without escape.
Charles was born in a humble home, where he could see each morning the majesty of the landscape, besides, where he could caress the breeze from the trees, although his family’s was poor origin , this was very rich in emotions and values, so in his childhood he never had had the need of love and support; his parents were struggling every day for giving him the best, although it was not the greatest luxuries, however, with great struggle he was finally able to finish high school and he had become a teenager dreamer, ready to do anything to get ahead, he knew that above all he had the support of his parents, then was well as a double effort and without regard to the sacrifices, he had got graduate of administrator and thanks to his great intellect was easy to him get a job, although as we all he had to start from the lowest, but ,it gave him even more strength to work hard getting up across the time get higher positions; at that moment he felt that his life had taken the right course; thanks to his modest income he could help her parents in gratitude for all their efforts.

REALLY UNFAIR
ReplyDeleteWe live in a society full of injustice and inequality where all that matters is the policy, a corrupt government only pays attention to his interest and generally anything that does good for his own satisfaction forgetting the true and sad reality that we find, especially children and teenagers because they should be the priority in any circumstance.
A real example of this is the video "I want to be a pilot," this clearly shows us the life he leads this little boy Omandi as many children in our country, they live in extreme poverty, malnutrition and illnesses that lead them on the verge of the death, their lifes are filled of sadness and fear, where their dreams stay there, stuck without having the opportunity to do what they really like because they have not the means required to reality.
This video left me a great reflection on how my life has been, all that I have and the wonderful parents and family that God has given me; I often complain about the food, I do not appreciate all the effort that my parents made for me to be very good, and most times I complain about insignificant things that really are not worth it. So, I must be grateful for all that I am and have, I also realized that my life is perfect I have everything to be happy, a magnificent and unique family, health, the opportunity to study to grow and train as a person and professional that with this I can go for my dreams and my overall happiness.
The way you look at life…
ReplyDeleteThere are those who have everything and they are always complaining, those who wasted the money and food, those are the same, that when they have to face the tests that life give us, they begin to believe in God, when they have never done. Those who cry looking at the sky, those who make promises, those who wear amulets, those who believe in superstitions...
But also, there are those who go forward, running eventhough their weakness in their feet,
those who continue playing when they run out of air, those who continue fighting when everything seems lost, like if every moment was the last one, convinced that life itself is a challenge;
suffering like any of us, but they without complaining; because they know the pain will go away,
the sweat is going to dry and the tiredness will end up.
There is the same amount of muscles in their bodies, and in our veins flows the same blood. What makes us different is our spirit, our determination to reach the top, and get be there doesn't come from pray for it, or from beating others, it comes from having the strength and determination to overcome obstacles. What I’m trying to say is, in most of our difficult moments in life we believe that we will not be able to overcome them; or lose hope so fast that we do not realize that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel but the truth is no matter how difficult seems the way. All depends on the way you look at life; if you pray for a miracle or fight for what you want no matter what long and stony is the path.
Takes advantage of every opportunity to be grateful
ReplyDeleteWhen someone does something for you, is very important to be grateful. You have to consider that you are special for that person; you mean very much for him/her, you are lucky because there is someone who thinks about you, a person who took time to do something for you. Someone that maybe stopped doing things for having an attention with you.
It is not about just to return, because most of people gives something not necessary material without waiting for anything for change. But everyone should be thankful, and not only for courtesy or for to return something but for be grateful.
Sometimes people get tired and stop giving for the ungrateful of other people. For this reason I think that in some cases is also about confidence. When you decide to trust in someone, you risk! Maybe the person in whom you are trusting, receive that confidence and back it to you. But if you trust in a bad person, even unknowingly, that person will hurt you.
The gratefulness is a natural act, is something that simply born in you to do. It is something that you must do from your heart without claims, but especially with respect, love and affection.
We have to be grateful every day, for every single thing. Every day of life is a gift, it is an opportunity to live, to love, to try to do all in the best way and with the best attitude.
BE GRATEFUL, PEOPLE WON´T BE ALWAYS FOR YOU!
LOOKINF FOR A PARADISE. (Vanesa Diaz)
ReplyDelete"what So fast and easy it can be to learn to be someone who can be so difficult if no one is you."
In modern times education is the subject of culture, but culture so that, for larger discrimination ridicule and humiliation. For every day a new stage trample our intelligence, our dignity and our lives, this is demeaning, where a meal is about grace and misery of so many.
It would be easy to close your mind to this impending reality, just close your eyes and ignore the attack STDs thousands of people and yet the burden would have to carry the children who are born with this terrifying disease. Where only father figure is a cross in a junkyard and organic waste.
the world is a dump where indifference is attacking the most vulnerable, oppressed those who just want a chance, as OMONDI who just wait the right moment to snatch his inhuman life is a chance to reach his goal, De leaving a prison in which his soul remained chained to misery after the death of his parents, where his skin color does not stop you being a person and love be that lullaby that will shelter is night, not science the grip back to converting in laboratory animals. They are sold to the highest bidder corrupt steal what little they have, and that life is full of minorities wasting money.
I feel incomplete to admit that my life is wonderful and very complete, thank God or fate have a home and every day I have a way to survive, however I think and I grieve to hear so many times that I have disowned a meal or a glass of water.
What I hope is just immerse myself into a deep sleep in which dreams are real and suffering is changed by kindness and fortune, and the future is a step to victory. But victory that afflicted not see the morning. If no one who even in defeat sees the light of hope and struggle to the top to get a goal. And recognizing that the only thing to change the situation is education and harsh punishments for bureaucrats who do not cooperate in building a better world.
To conclude I want to denote the last shot, which some hands are trying Ask to speak to assert their rights, .captando care to remember that the negligence of politicians is greater than the hunger for children. Recognized exclaiming that they are still not seeing a figure more poverty and desolation.
by a person who has everything and still wants more.

ReplyDeleteWhy such indifference?
DeleteThe video ‘I want to be a pilot’ shows us how terrible and stark is the reality many people have to live daily in some parts of the world. It is so sad to check in this way how people die every day of hunger in poverty; but it is even worse our indifference in front of situations like this. We have a home, a family and friends but sometimes we complain about our life and don’t see around us, perhaps because we are so busy with our own needs that it doesn't give us time to see the needs of people.
Nowadays we can communicate in the distance easily, we can know what is happening in the world quickly, the media are responsible for this, but we cannot realize how much the pain of people behind the screen, because we cannot understand something we haven’t lived. Indifference fills our lives, we want to be different from others in the way of act, dress, lifestyle, speech, without realizing what we have achieved is to be indifferent and Indifference makes us complicit. It is time to change our thinking, we are not alone in the world, and there are people like us in many parts that are in difficult situations. We are not in this world only to achieve our dreams and be happy, helping others is also important.
Together we can help to create a better world, there are no limits; leaving aside indifference and become real people who see beyond their own wellness. It is possible become people who contribute with the world, people who care about each other. We only need begin to appreciate what we have, starting for helping those who are closer to us, in our own city or country, we need to give a real help.
A DREAMER:
ReplyDeleteThis reflective reading is about the video “I want to be a pilot”. First of all I am going to describe ¿what was the video about? After that I am going to analyze the principal causes of poorly in that zone. The second part, I am going to related this video in our context and give some possible solutions to those troubles.
“I want to be a pilot” is a video that shows a lot of troubles in the East of Africa. It is about the story of Omondi. A little kid who lives in extremely poorly. He is twelve years old and the does not have parents because the death by the VIH. And, also he is infected with this illness too.
He does not have any plan to the future probably because he won’t have a future. But, He does have wishes. Wishes will never come true. He tells his wishes in a poetry way. He wants to be pilot because the wants to fly to the heaven. He wants a place without VIH.
This video would make you food for thought and make you understand that you are living in a true heaven with all that you need and even more.
The principal cause of this situation in the east of Africa and even in all Africa is the rest of the world is not interested in those kind of troubles that do not affect their daily life.
Probably most people say: “I don’t care about that” or “that’s not my business”. And, and some of them say: “oh poorly Africans” but they do nothing to help them.
The point is, the individualism of the people is who is killing that communities all around the world and if it does not correct it, coming soon all of us will finish in the same conditions
Now, bringing this to the Colombian context. Maybe, Colombian communities do not have the same poorly conditions like the Africans. But, those communities are very near to very as them.
The principal cause of it is the corruption of politicians in the country. They keep the budgets by themselves and do not help those communities that really need it.
So, the possible solution of those troubles in our context are help this poorly communities with recourses to work and giving them possibilities to the education and get better life conditions. Distributing the recourses in an equitable way.
In conclusion, we must change our way of think and leaving in a corner our individualism. Just like that we can help all that people and put and end the poorly of the world.
Maybe it's for reasons of fate or because life and wanted it to be, but it becomes unfair to the people most in need of aid. Many times we have everything we do not value things that are simple but instead criticizing us live, wasting and felt dissatisfied with what God gives us.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, those who can dream and get to fulfill our dreams, if we take different paths or other ill spend every chance we get to achieve them, and do not think that there are people who want to have everything on the other hand we do not value and smaller than them is one thing used to the fullest.
In our country there is poverty, poverty exists in other countries, but our leaders show the world a very different face to the one you see, is why the rulers only care about nothing but enrich themselves, stealing money and invest in things that do not benefit society, while people are starving, who want to study the uneducated and those dreams can not dream but only in your imagination because the word for them to progress and get ahead is impossible.
That's why we as citizens, we must reflect and appreciate more the things we have and if in our hands is to help others and provide support must do so as a proverb says today for you tomorrow for me should be applied.
